Limitless Rendering Camera Adjustment
This camera adjustment example is provided courtesy of Hilliard Architects.
When do I need to adjust the camera?
If your preview image looks like the camera has been moved, then you will need to adjust the camera to ensure you get the correct view rendered.
Why do I even need to adjust the camera?
Due to a small limitation with the .fbx file format, we do not get all the cropping information you setup in RevitĀ®. Camera adjustment uses your hidden line image you uploaded that we can use to adjust the .fbx file so you get the correct view rendered.
How do I adjust the camera?
After submitting your job and the preview image completes, you will be presented with both your image you uploaded and the image we rendered.
From here we can see that the stair railing is not visible and that too much of the green wall on the left is visible.
First we drag the image so that the desk corner in the middle of the room matches up:
Then we can hide and show the preview image by adjusting the slider at the bottom to verify we are lined up well:
Then we see that now our green wall does not match up, so we have to shrink the image so that both the desk corner and the green wall matches up:
After sizing the image smaller and positioning the image, we can now match the green wall, the desk corner, and the railing:
After submitting a new preview image, we can see now see that the railing is visible and that the image is positioned to within 95% of our desired image:
Then we can submit a full render to get a nicely rendered interior:
